We gladly accept submissions for the Whatever is Pure E-zine.

    Attention Writers and Encouragers!
We are actively seeking uplifting short devotionals, inspirational testimonies, creative writing and poetry. For the March 2012 issue, we need submissions that meet any of the following themes: "Easter, New Life, The Power of the Cross, Jesus' Sacrifice and/or the Victory of Resurrection" At the moment, we have more of a need for short testimonies and articles in comparison to poetry. All submissions must be under 1,000 words. We accept .txt, doc or docx formats. We welcome first time submissions and would be more than happy to proof-read and edit any submissions.

    Please contact us

    Attention Students and Teachers:

Every year, I Lift My Eyes Ministries offers a special youth edition of the "Whatever is Pure Ezine" Submissions based on online or physical classroom assignments will be accepted during the following time frame ONLY: March 15 - April 25, 2012 and will appear in the May Edition of Whatever is Pure Ezine.. Any classroom assignment submissions sent in before or after this time frame will automatically be rejected. Please place the words "Student Submission" in either the subject of your submission or in the body of your submission. Please also give us your age. We won't publish your age in the ezine to protect your privacy.

Please note: In past youth issues, we accepted almost every submission but this year, I have been contacted by two or three schools wishing to list this ezine as an option for their student's school projects. Unfortunately I will not be able to accept every article for publication. Therefore, I strongly suggest you read the general guidelines for all submissions to this ezine to ensure your submission fits the guidelines. We have found a few other sites on the net that encourage Christian authors and poets and list them "here"

I gratefully accept most devotionals, testimonies or poetry for consideration that are not part of a classroom requirement project, regardless of age or gender at any time throughout the year.

Guidelines for All Submissions:

All articles must be original and must be submitted by the author or by their representative with the author's permission.

All submissions must be Christian in nature or be of a form and standard that would be appealing to Christians and/or those who might be wondering why Jesus would make a difference in their lives. Submissions should be encouraging. inspiring and uplifting.

Testimonies and devotionals should be no more than 1000 words. 750 words or less would be appreciated. While we truly appreciate poetry, at present we have a greater need for testimonies, creative prose and devotionals.

Submissions cannot be formatted beyond simple centering or aligning to the left. We cannot accommodate fancy fonts, colours, blockquotes or anything else but simple text.
Due to a limited budget, we are only able to accept files in the following formats: .doc, .docx or .txt. We cannot open the following formats: .rtf or .wpd files. You are free to cut and paste your article into your email if you do not have the ability to send the files in .doc, .docx or .txt formats.
If you have a website or blog, please let us know.
If you wish people to contact you to gain permission to use your article in their own ezine, blog, email, etc please include your email address. While we do our best to protect your email address by using a special code that makes the address hard for spammers to read, the code is not fail-proof. We would suggest you use a gmail, yahoo or hotmail email address so your personal email address is kept safe.

We prefer not to use graphics, however if a graphic is a vital element of your piece, we will accept them under the following conditions. Graphics must not be copyrighted, under 20K in size and must fit into the nature and colour scheme of the present web design.

Unfortunately, we cannot show our gratitude for your submissions beyond our heartfelt thanks as we do not have the funds to show our appreciation through a financial stipend.

We are more than happy to edit your submissions and truly are grateful for any testimonies or Christian thoughts you would care to submit. Please do not let the fear of spelling or grammatical errors stop you from submitting.

Once your article is accepted, we will email you to inform you of that fact. "Whatever is Pure" is published monthly. Your article will be placed within our archives after one month.

Please submit your short story, your poem or article poem via the contact form. Include the title of your work and your website address if applicable within the body of your message.

If your submission is longer than the contact form or you cannot send it via the form, email us via the contact form and we'll send you instructions on alternative ways of submitting your works..
